About "The Feminine Dilemma"
"The Feminine Dilemma" is a podcast on WKNC that is dedicated to unpacking the realities, myths and unspoken truths of womanhood. Created as a space for open, honest, and necessary conversations, this podcast explores everything from reproductive health to relationships, societal expectations, and personal empowerment. No topic is off-limits—if you’ve ever wondered, questioned, or struggled with something, chances are we’re talking about it here.
Through deep dives, expert interviews, and raw discussions, "The Feminine Dilemma" challenges outdated narratives and embraces the complexities of being a woman in today’s world. Whether you’re here to learn, vent, or just feel seen, this is your space to explore the conversations we should all be having. About Philippa Abang
Hey there! I’m Philippa Abang, and welcome to "The Feminine Dilemma" — the podcast where no question is too awkward, no topic is off-limits, and we talk about all the things we should have learned but somehow never did.
This is a safe space to explore what it really means to be a woman — the good, the messy and the things society tells us to keep quiet about. Whether it’s breaking down myths, laughing at outdated ideas, or having real talks with experts and friends, we’re figuring it all out together. Some episodes will be just me, and others will feature guests — some who know a lot and some who are learning right alongside us. Either way, expect honest, eye-opening, and sometimes hilarious conversations.
Like a lot of people, I’ve had to navigate womanhood on my own — whether because of embarrassment (shouldn’t I already know this?), a lack of guidance or the weird idea that certain topics are only for a certain age (but seriously, when?). I knew I wasn’t the only one asking these questions, so I decided to start this podcast through WKNC to create a space where we can all learn together.
When I’m not deep in podcast research, you can usually find me watching anime or drooling over food videos of dishes I can only dream of eating. Oh, and I’m also a student at NC State, majoring in organismal biology — because apparently, I like learning everything.
So, grab a seat (or your headphones), and let’s talk! Welcome to The "Feminine Dilemma."
